What usually gets in the way, and how we solve it

  1. 01

Getting the money to the project is bureaucratic and expensive.

We handle all of it, with our own global foreign exchange and account infrastructure.

  2. 02

The worry of falling short of Brazilian law and facing a problem later.

As an OSCIP, Welight Institute receives your grant with legal certainty and tax efficiency.

  3. 03

Losing track of the money and waiting on slow or incomplete reports.

Management runs on Impact Map, and you follow everything in real time on online dashboards.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Does the call cost anything?

No, it's free.

What is an OSCIP?

A Civil Society Organization of Public Interest, a qualification under Brazilian Law 9.790. It allows Welight Institute, the Impact group's OSCIP, to receive grants from Brazil and abroad with tax efficiency, mandatory transparency and auditable governance.

How are the funds held?

In one of two models: a segregated fiduciary account within our vehicle, or a vehicle dedicated to your program. Both come with approval controls, an audit trail and automatic reports.

Do you only work in the Amazon?

No. The Amazon is where our roots run deepest, but we run projects across Brazil, including the Cerrado, the Atlantic Forest and cities.

How long does it take to get started?

Usually 2 to 4 weeks after the first call: legal structuring, segregated accounts, the monitoring dashboard and governance alignment.
